The first signs of seepage will certainly be in the form of moisture in the basement. This might be gone along with by the smell of mold and mildew. If the problem is not corrected, it will get worse. As the freeze/thaw pattern of winter and summer goes on, cracks then noticeable infiltration into the basement may occur.
